Celebrate Yorkshire Day

Yorkshire Day is approaching . We look at some ideas to join in the celebrations on and around the 1st August.

Yorkshire Day (1st August) was chosen in recognition of the Battle of Minden (1759) in which British Troops plucked wild white roses (the symbol of Yorkshire) to wear en route to battle and has been celebrated every year since 1975.
