Al Fresco Food Festival, Swinton Park

Set in the parklands surrounding beautiful Swinton Park, a luxury and historic castle hotel in the Yorkshire Dales, their annual food festival is being run as a Twilight event on Saturday 28th May and during the day of 29th May. The festival celebrates new life, the Yorkshire countryside and the produce grown in it and showcases “gate to plate”.

There are activities for all the family; including demonstrations from the hotel and cookery school chefs and local producers. You can learn to make sausages with the Masham Sausage Shop, or make sushi rolls with Simon Phillips or pluck and dress a game bird with Yorkshire Game.

The Saturday Twlight Party twilight runs from 6.00 – 10.30pm and the Sunday Walking Food Festival runs from 11.00am – 4.00pm. Tickets for both events is £5 per person, with free entry for children aged 3 yrs and under. Most of the demonstrations, tours and displays are included within the ticket price, with a small charge applying in a few cases. The Real Ale Bar at the Deerhouse and the Full Moon Cafe in the woodland will be serving refreshments all day.
