“York Does Vintage meets SOUK Fashion & Lifestyle Bazaar” will be filled with vintage goodies and high-end fashion from local designers, alongside lifestyle products offered from local businesses. There will also be a vintage tea area with cupcakes, teas & food served on vintage crockery, make up and hair girls, a pop-up studio for customers to have professional photos once they have been transformed by the beauty team and raffles to help raise money for local children’s charity S.N.A.P.P.Y.
Co-host Alex says “We really are aiming to make the weekend as packed as possible, with lots for customers to get involved with as well as shop!”
Additionally, ‘York’s Vintage SOUK’ will be launched, which is York’s brand new clothes swap whereby customers come along with unwanted clothes and through a ticketing system get to exchange for gems with others.
The fashion-loving duo are keen to continue with these events throughout the year.
“Our next event will be during August and then with luck a full weekend in October. We are also going to be taking ‘York’s Vintage Souk’ to York Bars during the summer for everyone to get involved with. As well as our large fair I have also started ‘Vintage Jamboree’ which is at Kennedy’s Bar in York and is a smaller vintage market with cupcakes, retro music and cocktails, and is of course in association with ‘York Does Vintage meets Souk’ – the dates so far for this are 1st May, 22nd May and 12th June and entry is free!”
There is a Facebook event with full details about the event which is called ‘York Does Vintage meets Souk Fashion and Lifestyle Bazaar‘.
Times are 10am-4:30pm on both days with £1 entry.
