Date night at the Hotel Du Vin, York

Whenever we get chance for an evening out, the Hotel Du Vin wins eight times out of ten. It’s located a five minute walk from our house so is easy to stumble home from, has a lovely courtyard for the summer and luxurious bar for the winter and has a great restaurant.  We luxed out on roasted langoustines with a pernod butter for started, followed by a contender to Cafe No. 8′s burger. It was £5 more expensive but not quite as good, although it still was delicious and still beats Oscars burgers hands down.
